It was time to learn another technique and this one was yet another very basic one, he wanted to do this now before his final training session with Pybara, he wanted it to be his warm-up to prepare him for the hard lesson to come. Learning the Spirit Fission wasn't easy, it was probably the most difficult technique he had ever learned in his life and he wanted to be a little more mentally prepared for it. He wanted to be in the mood for training, ready and motivated. A little mental warm-up couldn't have hurt.
Though given the nature of the technique he was learning, he found it best to do this away from his ship and out of the gravity chamber. He really couldn't afford to blow it all up, though he didn't necessarily need it for transport anymore, he did require his ship for everything else it provided him with. His ship acted as his home, his place to sleep, rest, train, prepare his meals and relax. It also carried all of his items, his childrens things, his crews, and a lot of stuff that didn't belong to him. He wasn't about to go and destroy all of that because he wanted to learn a new technique under training.
For this training, he had found himself outdoors and located nearby Pybara's house. He found it the most suitable place for it because at any time now, Pybara would come out to help Athren finish off his training here on Yardrat. While Athren waited, he could get something else done for him and become stronger and a more rounded fighter. The technique Athren wanted to learn this time around was similar to his Nova Barrier that he learned the week prior, though this time around the technique could be used offensively as well as defensively. It would be a technique that would be very practical in combat with lots of situational uses, whether it be simply to absorb an incoming attack or blast somebody away from him, he needed to learn it.
He knew it wouldn't be very difficult to learn, he was already a master of his own energy and could manipulate it however he needed to without difficulties and with the Nova Barrier already being in his technique listing, he would just have to do the exact same technique but instead, make it possible to do damage. While he awaited Pybara, Athren was without his Super Heavy Weights for they had no longer given him any kind of boost, they had served their purpose and expired. There was no longer anything to gain from them, they felt as light as a feather. The only thing he had here was his own imagination, his own determination and his will to bring this visualization to life.
He had positioned himself far enough from Pybara's to avoid doing any damage to any structures or his masters home, he was in an empty field that could afford to have a little damage done though that wasn't going to be Athren's only safety for the locations around him. He had also positioned himself high in the sky, allowing for plenty of space for his technique to travel before coming into contact with anything that it could damage.
Athren was going to do his best to be respectful of everything around him, hopefully avoiding doing even the slightest bit of damage to the planet or structures that had surrounded him. When he was confident that he wouldn't unintentionally cause any harm, he focused in and visualized exactly what he wanted to do.
It was very simple picture in his head, simply surround himself in his own energy and expand it outward. Though the first step was to simply form it, he didn't need to make it expand or erupt yet, that step could be saved for later. For now, he just wanted to make sure the energy would surround him and be damaging. It would be practical to defend against grapples, to give him space if anybody was really pressing him and even act as a shield to counter techniques and he was more than happy with that.
Though with a little bit of thinking, it was time to simply just get it done. Athren would quickly transform into his super saiyan form to continue to get more use out of it, to continue to master it and further expand upon its abilities. Once that was complete Athren simply tightened up his muscles and clenched his fists and with a quick grunt, Athren's energy expanded around him in a dark orange aura, pulsating around him and expanding quickly for only a few feet.
It's total radius was small but that was all that was needed for Athren to be happy. He was going to make it go further and make it much stronger now that he knew he could do this technique with little to no effort. Though he was motivated to finish it, he couldn't help but to be mildly distracted with awaiting his master. He wanted this to be done with, he was ready to go back to Earth, to see Zerori. It was long overdue, he promised a return but it was months. He didn't know how she'd feel but all he really knew was that he was eager to see her. Though it could simply instant transmission, he made sure his ship was fueled and ready to make the journey. It was a four day trip if he decided to stay on his ship for additional training, and if he didn't? He could simply see her in an instant.
He knew he'd want his ship on Earth, as that was still home to him so maybe for now it was best for him to just travel with the ship, what was an additional four days before arriving back on Earth? It would be a good opportunity to reflect on everything he learned here on Yardrat and on who he was now.
